Aluminum forging temperature control
 
The temperature rise (about 100 ℃) of aluminum alloy in forging is quite obvious due to its high deformation speed, great internal friction and great thermal effect. Therefore, the initial forging temperature of aluminum alloy should be adjusted, and the heating temperature of the blank before forging should be the lower limit of the original initial forging temperature. In addition, due to the large external friction coefficient of aluminum alloy, poor fluidity, if the deformation speed is too fast, it is easy to cause defects such as peeling, folding and uneven crystal structure of the forgings, and for low plasticity, high strength aluminum alloy is also easy to cause cracking of the forgings. Therefore, this kind of aluminum alloy is most suitable for forging in low speed press.
 
The selection of reasonable deformation degree can ensure that the alloy will not crack in the forging process, and the deformation is even, and good microstructure and properties can be obtained. In order to ensure that the aluminum alloy does not crack in the forging process, the maximum degree of deformation allowed in each blow or compression on the selected forging equipment should be determined according to the plastic chart of the alloy.
