Why does the banded structure appear in aluminum alloy forgi

The banded structure of aluminum alloy forging is a kind of structure distributed in the forgings in the form of ferrite and pearlite, ferrite and austenite, ferrite and bainite, ferrite and martensite, which mainly occurs in the subeutectic, austenite and semi-martensite steel.
This structure is the banded structure generated during the deformation of forgings under the condition of two-phase coexistence, which can reduce the transverse plasticity index of materials, especially the impact toughness. In the working process, forgings or parts are prone to crack along ferrite belt or at the intersection of two parts.
